There isn’t a weight loss diet in existence that will give you permanent weight loss... unless you stay on that diet forever. Once you achieve your target weight you may be able to adjust the diet to maintain your new bodyweight. But once you relax, the odds are you’ll start gaining weight again. And those odds against you maintaining your weight through diet are huge.
Why?
Because your overweight condition is controlled by faulty programming in your subconscious mind.
Think of your subconscious as a computer. Cellular biologist, Dr Bruce Lipton who has studied such matters for years, says your subconscious mind is a million times more powerful than your conscious mind.
When you choose a weight loss diet to reduce your body fat, you use your conscious mind. But what chance do you think it has against an opponent a million times stronger?
Why should your subconscious computer run such a program? Because you, or circumstances you’ve encountered, have programmed it to do just that. The program could have been written when you were a small child.
One overweight woman told how her father refused to let his children leave the table until they’d eaten everything on their plates. The way he yelled at them frightened her. Regardless of how full they felt, it was always drummed in that they must clear their plates.
Children under six years old don’t have the defences against external programming that develop later. According to Bruce Lipton, they’re in constant download mode.
That’s just one way your subconscious computer could have been programmed to keep you overweight. When you try to lose weight on a diet, you use will power, a product of your conscious mind, to achieve your aims.
But your subconscious controls every automatic function of your body. Including your taste buds! How many millions of people are hooked on chocolate? If that includes you, just the mention of chocolate may make your taste buds quiver. A huge barrier to permanent weight loss!
Millions of people know how to program electronic computers. But they don’t know how to reprogram their own inbuilt computer. So the program that keeps you fat continues running.
Once you know how to rewrite that program, the picture changes. Before the reprogramming you’re competing in a tug-of-war against a huge giant. With the program rewritten, that giant pulls on your end of the rope.
Once you’ve rewritten the program, your diet will work for you like a dream. Then the only problem you’re faced with is that you shrink from fat and flabby to thin and flabby. That’s why you need the right kind of exercise too.
Linda lost a lot of weight on a diet. She was left with large folds of loose skin. Linda resorted to surgery to remove the spare skin. An unwelcome outcome of the surgery was an embolism that almost killed her. She was so ill she was off work for a year. The enforced idleness plus Linda’s ‘fat program’ caused her to regain all the weight she’d lost. Now she’s too scared to go on a weight loss diet ever again. So much for permanent weight loss diets!
So, how do you reprogram your subconscious computer?
There are several ways. Some have been used and proven for centuries. Then there are more modern methods, also proven in practice, that require less mental effort.
You’re an individual, with your own strengths and weaknesses. So a method that works fine for your best friend may not be right for you. That’s why we’ll cover different ways of reprogramming your subconscious computer to bring you the permanent weight loss you seek.
